Nigel McFall
Founder, Unity Party
I’ve spent my life working in tough, real-world roles—serving in the military, working as a prison officer, and running a small business. Along the way, I’ve gained a wide range of experience, giving me a deep understanding of what it’s like to start from the bottom and work your way up. I know the struggle of living in poverty, and I also know the highs of building something successful.
I also live with ADHD, which means I think differently—I see connections where others don’t, solve problems in unexpected ways, and thrive when tackling big challenges. This perspective drives me to find real solutions instead of making excuses. I know how hard life can be when systems are built to work against you, and I want to change that.
That’s why I founded the Unity Party—for people who believe in fairness, real opportunities, and practical solutions that actually work. Whether it’s helping small businesses thrive, making housing more affordable, or fixing our justice system, I’m focused on getting things done—not just talking about it.
If you share this vision, let’s piece together a stronger New Zealand.
